FLYING LOTUS – ‘Cosmogramma’ (Warp Records)
After months of eager anticipation, Flying Lotus’s new album – ‘Cosmograma’ - was released today on Warp Records.
Founder of the ground breaking BRAINFEEDER outfit, Flying Lotus (aka Steve Ellison) has a string of releases to his name, including numerous remixes and two previous albums – ‘1983′ (Plug Research, 2006) and the timeless ‘L.A’ (Warp Records, 2007).
This latest release features collaborations with saxophonist and relative, Ravi Coltrane (son of the late John Coltrane), Thundercat on bass and the incredible talents of harpist, Rebekah Raff. If that wasn’t enough, ‘Cosmogramma’ also includes special guest appearances from Erykah Badu, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Laura Darlington (who also featured on his second album ‘L.A’) and the UK’s Thom Yorke.
